What is Average

The average of given observations or data is a number  which is found on dividing the sum of observations or data  by the number of observations or data given (दिए गए प्रेक्षणों या आंकड़ों का औसत वह संख्या है जो प्रेक्षणों या आंकड़ों के योग को दिए गए प्रेक्षणों या आंकड़ों की संख्या से विभाजित करने पर प्राप्त होती है)

Note : 

•  If all the numbers get increased/decreased by a, then  their average must be increased/decreased by a (यदि सभी संख्याएँ a से बढ़ती/घटती हैं, तो उनका औसत a से बढ़ना/घटना चाहिए)
• If all the numbers are multiplied/divided by a, then  their average must be multiplied/divided by a.  Some important formulae related to sum of numbers ((ii) यदि सभी संख्याएँ a से गुणा/भाग होती हैं, तो उनका औसत a से गुणा/भाग होना चाहिए। संख्याओं के योग से संबंधित कुछ महत्वपूर्ण सूत्र)
